The first webinar, which takes place at 12:30-1:30pm on Thursday 2nd March 2023, looks at using events to build and engage communities. It aims to share insights and inspiration, as well as providing a space for shared learning and discussion.
Speakers for the first session are Mark Walker, Head of Marketing at leading digital accessibility charity AbilityNet. Mark is the man behind TechShare Pro. Heading into its seventh year it is Europe’s largest gathering of accessibility and inclusion professionals, and their allies.
Mark will be joined by Becki Meakin and Ana-Maria Bilciu from Shaping Our Lives, which is a national user network focused on inclusive involvement. It works with people, especially those facing the biggest barriers, to build better and more inclusive services and support. The organisation’s service user conference in November resulted in some really interesting insights. This included the takeaway that communities aren’t hard to reach, you just need to try different ways of engaging and remove barriers to involvement.
